Raised in Carnation, I am running to serve the community that has served me.
A lifelong Washingtonian and University of Washington student, I have worked with our community leaders and created connections that I will bring to our city council.
Having worked with the Puget Sound Educational Service District, the Washington State Legislature, and on the governor’s campaign, I understand what it takes to communicate with our fellow electeds and get work done!
Roots
When I first moved to Carnation, my family was one of the first families of South Asian descent in our town. I was only six years old and enrolled at Carnation Elementary School where I was taught by our amazing school teachers - Mrs. Wing, Mrs. Minaglia, Mrs. Smoke, and of course our wonderful principal Dr. Stocker.
From Elementary School through High School and now College, being involved and volunteering for our town is what I have done my whole life. As a board member for Empower Youth Network for nearly 5 years, I have served our valley as a Suicide Prevention Training volunteer and as a youth mobilizer– activating young people to also be more involved.
Experience
Studying Public Service and Policy, Economics, and Bioethics at the UW, I have grounded myself in both results-driven policy analysis and community focused decision-making. My public service journey began as a legislative page in the Washington State Legislature, where I developed a deep appreciation for transparent, constituent-focused governance.
As a campaign manager and field organizer, I have built winning campaigns and organized countless phone banks, community forums and learned about the rich culture and history of our local tribes. I’ve spoken with voters all across Washington.
At the Puget Sound Educational Service District, I worked with more than 200 teachers and professionals to support regional racial equity and pushed for the inclusion of marginalized youth voices across 20+ school districts.
This role strengthened my skills in stakeholder collaboration and educational advocacy – experience I now bring to Carnation’s city council. I am a community organizer at heart, and the connections, experience and ideas I have built through my work will allow me to help push Carnation forward and fight for our neighbors every day.
Why I'm Running
I could not have achieved what I have today without the help of our neighbors. Just a few years ago my mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, and within just two weeks of that our house caught fire.
Our neighbors here in Carnation were the only reason we were able to keep going - some brought us food, others brought us our mail, watered our plants, offered us rides and even brought us groceries. It was a neighbor of ours who called the fire department in the first place, saving my family home. That’s why I’m running – my neighbors, your neighbors, OUR neighbors deserve a leader who truly understands Carnation’s heart, soul, its challenges, and its promise.

MODERN SERVICES FOR
A GROWING TOWN
Let’s make downtown Carnation a place where people live, work, and linger—not just pass through.
On council, I will work to:
- Expand high-speed broadband town-wide and install free public Wi-Fi
- Modernize water, sewer, and stormwater systems with green infrastructure (permeable paving, bioswales)
- Invest in flood protection and innovate local control of the dam evacuation system
- Upgrade lighting and signage on key walk routes, intersections, and underlit zones
- Build the SR 203 & Tolt Hill Rd roundabout to improve safety and traffic flow
- Restore King County Metro commuter routes and create sidewalks, high-visibility crosswalks, bike lanes, and ADA-compliant paths linking neighborhoods to downtown and regional trails

UNLOCKING DOORS
TO CARNATION
We can build affordably, beautifully, and smart—preserving the charm of Carnation while making room for everyone.
On council, I will work to:
- Implement tax abatements, density bonuses, and impact fee waivers to push developers to include affordable and income-restricted units in new construction
- Prioritize affordability in city-owned land use or partnerships (e.g. turning a surplus public lot into a workforce housing site)
- Apply for state and county housing grants that support low- to moderate-income housing construction
- Propose a local “Affordable Housing Incentive Toolkit” to guide developers while
ensuring community benefit
